    Tatami is a type of traditional Japanese ceiling light made of woven reed. It is also used as a decorative element in Japanese homes and architecture, including as a ceiling material for certain types of light fixtures.

    Tatami ceiling light is a type of lamp that is designed to be hung from the ceiling and has a tatami mat as part of its construction. The light source is placed inside a wooden frame, which is covered with a mat or washi paper panel. When the light is turned on, the tatami creates a warm, diffuse glow characteristic of traditional Japanese lighting.

      Very cute & well-made

      These are very cute and well made accessories. They are made primarily of natural wood and glass, with the interior of the light fixture being made of metal and plastic, they are generally solid and durable, and since they are intended to be ceiling mounted, they arrived very carefully packaged so even though the screens are made of glass (quite thick), they were perfectly protected. I am very happy with them.
